Well you have introduced a topic that we have not discussed yet, but assuming that we all agree that dominant chords move to tonic than the predominant chords would come before the dominants. Predominant chords include the ii and IV. A typical progression following this model would be ii-V-I PD-D-T.
Just curious, would a predominant chord include any of the four chords preceeding the dominant?
only ii and IV because I is tonic and usually follows the dominant and iii is a weak voice of both the I and V chords
